The Passion of Alban & Livia

21st and 22nd June

By Imogen de la Bere

Presented by Act of God

This new play focusses on the effect of Alban’s martyrdom on his wife, Livia. While tragic at its core, the tale of martyrdom is presented as darkly comic.

The Passion of Alban & Livia is the second of de la Bere’s ‘St Albans Plays’, following the 2014 sellout success of Boudicca at Verulamium at the Roman Theatre.

To create the right mood, the evening shows are introduced by Pete the Temp, award-winning performance poet. Original music arrangements by Nicholas Hare are performed a cappella.

Please note: this play is not suitable for children under the age of 8 and includes the depiction onstage of a decapitation.
